My favorite character was Gatsby because he was a cool, laid back person and he liked to party. My least favorite character was Tom because he was a jerk to Daisey and he snitched on Gatsby; which got him killed.
1. My favorite character is Nick Carraway because he remained neutral throughout most of the story. The drama was never including him but he was always on the outskirts f it all. 2. My least favorite character would have to be Gatsby because he acts so weird and is very attached and oblivious when is come to anything dealing with Daisy. Basically his attitude bothers me.
My favorite character in the Great Gatsby was Nick. Nick was the only normal, rational person in the book. He didn't cheat on Jordan, he worked hard, and he wasn't a corrupt person. Nick was the most honest and upfront person. He had good intentions and was one of the only people there for Gatsby's funeral. My least favorite character was Daisy Buchanan. The main action that made Daisy my least favorite character is when she left with Tom and never called Gatsby. She broke Gatsby's heart and then he died. Daisy led Gatsby on and made him think tht there was a chance and she just turned him down. She really didnt care about her child and she put up with Tom's affair. She seemed artificial and hooked on men with money.

My least favorite character is Tom. His outlook on life was a huge contradiction. He was angry with Daisy for having an affair with Gatsby, but at the same time Tom was having an affair with Myrtle. Due to Toms ill-concived thoughts, Gatsby was murdered
My favorite character in the book by far was Gatsby because of his sophistication, charm, and intelligence. His personality was addictive, and that is why he aquired such a successful turnout at all of his lavish parties. My least favorite character has to be Tom Buchanan, because he was very jealous of Gatsby. His jealousy brought him to several hostile encounters with Gatsby and finaly the death of Gatsby. At the same time, however, one must look at this novel through the eyes of Tom. His wife of five years is suddenly taken from him, and his entire life is crumbling beneath his feet at the hands of one man.
My favorite character in this novel was Nick Carraway. Although he was judgmental, he was honest and the only "normal" person in the book. All of the other characters wanted to live a life full of lavish luxuries, while Nick just took things as they came - never really complained about anything.

My favorite character is Nick. He guided us through the whole story and he made us think the way he thinks. I like his attitude about affairs and that he was surprised about that whole action of Tom's. I also like that he stayed with Gatsby and did not leave like everybody else did. He tried his best to make his friend a nice funeral. My least favorite character is Daisy. I liked her at first but after she killed Myrtle and then just left with Tom I did not like her at all. She could have at least send a flower or something for Gatsby's funeral. The man she used to love. She is just ignorant and I really don't like her whole attitude and that she just stayed with Tom because it was easier.

He married a woman who he didn't truly love, and then he would have numerous affairs and never even tried to hide them. I felt a bit of sadness when Gatsby died and how Daisy had no idea and went off with Tom to escape the disaster they both committed. It was such a shame when Daisy never showed up for Gatsby funeral.

She also ran over a woman, broke a man's heart, then left everyone (including her daughter) without consequence.

The Great Gatsby was a novel where I found mysef choosing sides. My favorite character would be Gatsby because I can understand his emotions. I find it romantic on how he had waited for Daisy his whole life. He was just a young man who all he wanted was love. He even died loving her for taking the permanent blame for something she did.
My least favorite character would be Tom. He was a typical rich, stuck up, ignorant man who wanted to have his cake and eat it too. I despised the way he cheated on Daisy, and the way he did it openly showed that he had no respect for her. He showed off his wealth and I didn't like the way treated Gatsby because it was hypocritical.
